On September 16, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held its regular press conference in Beijing, where spokesperson Zhu Fenglian responded to topics including the official opening of navigation on the Pinglu Canal and the Taiwan Strait spy drama "Crossfire," which has been well received by audiences on both sides of the strait.

She also welcomed Taiwan businesspeople and enterprises to seize the development opportunities brought by the new Western LandSea Corridor and continue expanding their market on the mainland.
The press conference also discussed debates on Taiwan's online platforms about mainland social media attracting Taiwanese youth, as well as stories of exchanges among people in Taiwan. She also made remarks on crossstrait sports exchanges, cybersecurity, and related policy issues.
