On September 20, the "New LandSea Connectivity, Open at the Right Time — 2026 Think Tank Seminar on the New LandSea Corridor and the Western OpeningUp Pattern" was held at Guizhou University. Representatives from government, industry, academia, and research fields discussed the construction of the western landsea new corridor and the development of openingup in western China.
The meeting pointed out that the western landsea new corridor connects the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, and works in coordinated linkage with the Yangtze River Economic Belt. As an important provincial node on the corridor, Guizhou is exploring new paths for openingup and development by leveraging its own geographic advantages and industrial base.
During the event, Guizhou University released several research achievements focused on the landsea new corridor and the development of a new highland for inland openingup in Guizhou, and jointly built a landsea new corridor corpus with Xinhua Government Affairs. The conference also featured two roundtable discussions on "hard connectivity" and "soft connectivity," where participants exchanged experience and offered suggestions on topics such as infrastructure, logistics networks, and industrial parks.
