On July 20, multiple departments in Hebei Province successively issued weather and disaster alerts, reminding relevant areas to guard against risks of hail, flash floods, and geological disasters.
At 17:09 that day, the Hebei Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued an orange hail warning. It is expected that within the next 6 hours, hail may occur in parts of Shijiazhuang, western Zhangjiakou, Baoding, Xiong'an New Area, Xingtai, central and western Hengshui, and Cangzhou.
At the same time, the Hebei Provincial Department of Water Resources and the Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a meteorological risk warning for flash flood disasters, and the Hebei Provincial Department of Natural Resources and the Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a meteorological risk warning for geological disasters. The warnings indicate that parts of Tangshan, Chengde, Qinhuangdao, and Langfang face a relatively high risk of flash floods, collapses, landslides, and mudslides within the next day.
