Coupang Incheon logistics center fire, expected to take several days to fully extinguish

The fire that broke out at a Coupang logistics center in Seoknamdong, Seogu, Incheon has continued into its third day. The blaze started at around 6:54 a.m. on the 18th on the 6th floor of a building with one basement level and eight floors above ground, and the large amount of household goods stacked inside has made firefighting more difficult. The fire authorities raised the response level and even issued a national fire mobilization order, deploying a large number of equipment and personnel. They are currently also carrying out work to break part of the building's exterior wall using excavators and other equipment, while focusing on securing space to vent smoke and spray water. This fire occurred outside working hours, so there were no major casualties. However, two firefighters were injured during the extinguishing operation, and the fire authorities believe it may take several more days to completely put out the blaze.
