UK Foreign Secretary Cooper Visits China, with China Looking Forward to Deepening Strategic Communication
China-UK strategic dialogue resumes, Cooper's June visit to China advances high-level communication and practical cooperation Focus on implementing leaders' consensus and hot topics, with attention to the progress of talks and subsequent developments
On June 1, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that British Foreign Secretary Cooper will visit China from June 1 to 3 and hold the 11th ChinaUK Strategic Dialogue.
Lin Jian said that the ChinaUK Strategic Dialogue is an important highlevel dialogue mechanism between the two sides. In the context of the current complex and everchanging international situation, as permanent members of the UN Security Council, strengthening strategic communication between China and the UK has practical significance.
During this dialogue, the two sides will have indepth exchanges of views on implementing the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, expanding practical cooperation, and major international and regional issues, and will promote further development of the longterm, stable comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UK. The Chinese side said that relevant details of the visit will be released in due course.
