On June 9, departments at both the Ningxia and Yinchuan levels held a joint meeting and officially launched a special campaign to address drowning prevention along the Yinchuan section of the Tanglai Canal. This campaign focuses on water safety along the route, with priority given to reducing drowning risks through measures such as hazard inspections, publicity and education, and routine patrols. The rectification scope covers the entire Yinchuan section of the Tanglai Canal. Areas with high risks, including those near schools, residential concentrations, park waterfront areas, and bridge sluices, have been designated as key inspection targets. Relevant departments will add warning signs in dangerous waters and fully equip the area with emergency supplies such as life rings and rescue ropes to facilitate prompt response in the event of an emergency. In terms of publicity and control, Yinchuan will continue to issue safety reminders through schools, communities, neighborhoods, and new media platforms, and will organize emergency rescue and CPR training drills. The local area has also established an inspection mechanism made up of professional teams, local units, and volunteers. Patrols will be intensified during midday, evenings, weekends, and summer vacation periods to promptly discourage dangerous behaviors such as playing near the water and entering the water without authorization.
