Li Hongzhong attends the Forum for Small and Medium Enterprises in Russia and visits Irkutsk Oblast

According to a Xinhua News Agency report on September 12, from September 9 to 12, Li Hongzhong, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the 7th ChinaRussia SME Entrepreneurs Forum in Moscow, Russia. During the trip, he also met with a number of Russian political figures and visited Irkutsk Oblast. Li Hongzhong said that, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the ChinaRussia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era has continued to maintain a high level of development. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Russian side to implement the important consensus reached by both sides, promote further advancement of bilateral relations, and at the same time strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the National People's Congress and the Federation Council and State Duma of the Russian Federation. He also pointed out that China's drive for highquality development will bring new cooperation opportunities for SMEs in countries including Russia. The two sides should continue to leverage the role of the relevant committees as communication channels, promote practical cooperation and peopletopeople exchanges among SMEs, and enhance the friendship between the peoples of the two countries. The Russian side stated that it is willing to continue deepening exchanges between the legislative bodies and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields with the Chinese side. During his visit to Russia, Li Hongzhong also toured the site of the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
