The Hubei Provincial CPPCC Offers Advice on the Healthy Development of the Private Economy

Suggestions for the development of Hubei's private economy: address the challenges of market expansion, innovation, and governance Optimize the business environment, and promote digital-intelligent transformation and overseas market expansion

On September 15, in Wuhan, Hubei, Hubei Province's CPPCC held a monthly special consultation meeting on promoting the healthy development of the private economy and heard members' suggestions. The meeting included this topic in its annual key consultation plan, focusing on the practical challenges in the development of the private economy. Participants said that at present, Hubei's private economy faces problems such as limited market expansion, relatively weak innovation capacity, insufficient effectiveness in policy implementation, and weak corporate governance capabilities. In response to these shortcomings, members suggested improving supporting systems for fair competition review, curbing excessive internal competition within industries, and using crossborder industrial parks, overseas institutions, and platforms of central and stateowned enterprises to help private enterprises expand into overseas markets. Regarding the transformation and upgrading of private enterprises, members also proposed supporting qualified private tech and innovation enterprises to enhance competitiveness through mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and expanded production to improve efficiency, while promoting digitalintelligent and green transformation, and building public service platforms to ease the difficulties of small and mediumsized enterprises that "do not know how to transform" and "do not know how to use" them. Other suggestions pointed out that efforts should continue to optimize the business environment, promote the convenience of government services, and further strengthen the confidence of market entities.
