Recently, 96 central government departments publicly released their 2025 final accounts to society in accordance with the law and regulations. This marks the 16th consecutive year that final accounts of central departments have been made public. The disclosed content includes the department overview, final accounts statements, explanations, and glossary of terms. The Ministry of Finance also reposted the information simultaneously through relevant platforms to accept public supervision.
Reports show that in recent years, fiscal authorities have continuously advanced performance management, expanded the coverage of unit selfassessments and departmental evaluations, and strengthened the application of evaluation results. This year, a total of 756 project performance selfassessment forms were submitted together with the central final accounts to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, an increase from the previous year. The Ministry of Finance also selected 55 projects for key fiscal evaluations, covering areas such as boosting consumption, technological innovation, industrial development, ecological and environmental protection, and livelihood保障.
The article also noted that central departments continue to implement the requirement of tightening their belts, cut unnecessary spending, standardize expenditures on official overseas travel, official receptions, business trips, and meetings and training, and strengthen disclosure of government procurement information to improve the efficiency and transparency of fiscal fund use.
