Immigration management police visit the Banjiehe Fortress Ruins to carry out a themed Party Day event for the September 18 Incident

September 18 Incident commemorative event: On-site Party lecture at the Xiangyang Banjiehe Fortress Ruins Revisit the history of Japan's invasion of China, and inspire action in border patrol, safeguarding the territory, and serving the public

On September 15, the Xiangyang Border Police Station of the Jidong Border Management Detachment of the Heilongjiang Border Inspection General Station organized police officers and auxiliary police to go to the provinciallevel cultural relic protection unit in Lianhe Village, Xiangyang Town, Jixi City — the site of the Xiangyang Banjiehe Fortress built by the invading Japanese army in China — to carry out a themed Party Day activity commemorating the September 18 Incident. During the activity, the police officers and auxiliary police walked through old trenches and inspected the preserved fortifications, receiving patriotic education on site. The fortress site was built in 1934 and completed in 1937. It still preserves remnants such as communication trenches and gun emplacements, as well as some items left behind by the Japanese army, serving as a historical witness to Japanese militarist aggression against China's border areas. The local police station said that the site has become a regular onsite teaching base, and the first practical Party lesson for newly hired police officers and auxiliary police is often held here. The police said they will turn the spiritual strength drawn from the historical site into practical actions in border patrols, grassroots governance, and serving the public.
