The 18th Straits Forum · CrossStrait Emergency Firefighting Integration and Development Forum opened on June 14 in Shaxian District, Sanming, Fujian. About 450 emergency firefighting experts, scholars, and rescue backbones from both sides of the Taiwan Strait attended the event, exchanging views on topics such as the integration of emergency disasterprevention industries, disaster response coordination, and rescue cooperation mechanisms.
The forum organizer said it hopes to promote stronger technical exchanges, joint drills, and practical cooperation between the two sides in the field of emergency firefighting through regular and institutionalized communication, enhancing the ability to jointly respond to disaster risks and safeguarding people's lives and property.
As a subevent of the forum, the Sanming · Chuang Shijie "Qilin Warrior Cup" Firefighting Rescue Challenge was held in advance on June 13. It featured multiple segments including a parentchild competition, a youth challenge, a parkour invitational competition, and a balance bike race, attracting more than 2,000 parentchild families, teachers and students, and sports enthusiasts from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
