As the National Day holiday draws to a close, crossborder travelers are gradually returning, and passenger flow at Shanghai ports has shifted from an "outbound travel boom" to a "return travel boom," reaching a peak. From October 1 to 5, the number of foreign travelers entering through Shanghai ports reached 67,000, up 3.3% year on year. Among them, more than 60% of travelers were eligible for visafree entry and the 240hour visafree transit policy. On the morning of the 6th, flights arrived frequently at the arrivals hall of Pudong International Airport, and the number of travelers returning to Shanghai increased significantly. Some travelers said they chose to return to China early to avoid the集中 return travel on the last day of the holiday. Data show that from October 1 to 5, Shanghai border inspection authorities checked a total of 577,000 inbound and outbound travelers, up 2.4% year on year, including 548,000 at the two major international airport ports of Pudong and Hongqiao. As the Ninth China International Import Expo approaches, Shanghai ports will also gradually welcome exhibitors, buyers, and related staff. The Shanghai General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection has already launched its support preparations in advance, strengthening coordination with airports, airlines, and relevant departments, and improving specialized support plans and contingency plans to enhance customs clearance efficiency and service standards.
