Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center Unveiled
The Space Computing Innovation Center has been established in Haidian, Beijing, promoting collaborative breakthroughs and application validation across the entire industry chain 108 alliance members are helping accelerate the industry and seize the new opportunities in space computing
On June 29, the Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center was officially unveiled at the Space Computing Forum of the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference. The center is located in Beijing Satellite Town, Haidian District, and is positioned as China’s first space computing innovation center with the core mission of connecting the industrial chain and coordinating upstream and downstream partners.
According to reports, the center will focus on the full industry chain of space computing and will prioritize research and development and key breakthroughs in six areas: spacenative computing chips, space computing payloads, satellite platforms and ground verification facilities, largemodel deployment and softwarehardware collaborative optimization, key technologies for spaceground integrated cloud platforms, and validation of satellite application scenarios.
On the same day, the Beijing Space Computing Innovation Alliance was established, with 108 intended founding member organizations, covering universities, research institutes, stateowned central enterprises, and private companies. Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications also joined with multiple organizations to release an opensource standard system for space operating systems, aiming to promote unified satellite software interfaces, optimized resource scheduling, and crosssatellite collaborative applications. The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology said it will subsequently promote the development of the space computing industry in terms of technological breakthroughs, industrial ecosystem, policy support, and international cooperation.
