Two departments warn to beware of the "insurance customer travel" consumption trap

Insurance travel risk warning: beware of the gimmicks of "exclusive trips" and "policy rewards" Verify qualifications, sign a formal contract, and guard against forced shopping and last-minute price increases

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Financial Regulatory Administration recently issued a risk warning, reminding consumers to be alert to irregular travel activities that recruit tourists under the names of "insurance customerexclusive travel" and "policy reward trips." The notice points out that common problems with such activities include unclear qualifications of the organizer, using "free" or "lowprice subsidies" to attract people to join the group, irregular contractsigning procedures, and infringement of consumers' rights and interests during the trip through disguised forced shopping, temporary price increases, or unauthorized itinerary changes. The two departments recommend that before signing up for a group tour, consumers should verify the authenticity of the activity through the insurance company's official channels, choose a regular travel agency with legal qualifications, and sign a written travel contract. If they encounter incomplete contract information, forced shopping, or other violations, they should preserve evidence and protect their rights in accordance with the law.
