Traces of a Chinese-language AI infiltration tool in the Shinhan Bank hack

Shinhan Bank hack, signs of a Chinese-language AI infiltration tool detected Check the reality of domestic bank security threats and key response points

In relation to the hacking attacks targeting domestic commercial banks, including Shinhan Bank, signs have been detected suggesting that a Chineselanguage autonomous AI intrusion tool may have been used on the server. According to the security industry, a Chinese string interpreted as 'AI Autonomous Penetration Testing Console' was found in the HTML title of the web server used in the attack. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether the tool was actually used in the attack. The tool is known to be an opensource LLMbased penetration testing system designed to automate information gathering, vulnerability searching, and attack path planning. Experts pointed out that while such tools can be used for security inspections, they could increase the level of automation in cyberattacks if abused.
