The Regulations on Promoting Employment and Entrepreneurship for Military Veterans help veterans find employment and start businesses, and improve the support and service system. They promote the implementation of policies and workplace support. Effective from August 1, they help veterans seize development opportunities.
Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, June 30 — The State Council of the People's Republic of China issued Decree No. 840 and promulgated the "Regulations on Promoting Employment and Entrepreneurship for ExService Members." The regulations were adopted at the 88th executive meeting of the State Council on June 5, 2026, and will take effect on August 1, 2026.
These regulations aim to further support employment and entrepreneurship for exservice members, promote the implementation of relevant support and service systems, and provide an institutional basis for exservice members to enter the workforce and engage in entrepreneurial activities.
Premier Li Qiang of the State Council signed the decree and promulgated it on June 26, 2026.
