According to the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, and with the approval of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has filed a case to investigate and examine the serious violations of discipline and law by Zhao Changhui, former firstlevel inspector of the Fuling District Government of Chongqing. The investigation shows that Zhao Changhui resisted organizational review, unlawfully accepted gifts and money, accepted banquets and travel arrangements that may have affected the impartial performance of official duties, and was also accused of using his authority to help relatives secure business and make illicit gains, engaging in profitmaking activities in violation of regulations, privately retaining classified materials, and seeking gains for others in matters such as project contracting and land transfer, while illegally accepting huge sums of property. After deliberation by the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision and approval by the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, it was decided to expel Zhao Changhui from the Communist Party, cancel his retirement benefits in accordance with regulations, and confiscate his illicit gains; the matter involving his suspected crimes and related assets has been transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law.
