The National Flood Control, Water Resources, Emergency Management, Agriculture and Rural Affairs and other departments have recently continued to strengthen consultation and analysis, warning issuance, and defense arrangements in response to Typhoon “Bavi” and the heavy rainfall it has brought, with a focus on flood and typhoon prevention work in Zhejiang, Fujian, Hebei, Liaoning, and other areas. Meteorological departments predict that the typhoon will make landfall along the coast between Wenling, Zhejiang and Xiapu, Fujian in the early hours of the 12th. Affected by it, southeastern Zhejiang, northeastern Fujian, and other areas will see heavy rain to torrential rain, while parts of North China and Northeast China will also experience relatively heavy rainfall. Relevant departments have successively raised emergency response levels and dispatched working groups to the front line to guide prevention efforts. At the local level, Zhejiang and Fujian have adopted measures such as suspending sailings, halting work, evacuating personnel, and moving vessels to sheltered waters; Tianjin has strengthened the sharing of monitoring and warning information with surrounding areas and is preparing for the transfer of supplies. At the same time, Guangxi continues to carry out flood control and emergency rescue operations, and firefighting teams have deployed a large amount of manpower and equipment to participate in rescue, drainage, and supply delivery.
