The film surpassed $100 million in cumulative revenue just six days after its North American release, and recorded box office earnings of more than $200 million worldwide within 10 days of release. According to the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council, cumulative attendance as of the 15th was tallied at 987,968, and reaching 1 million admissions is expected soon. ‘Backroom’ is a horrorthriller film that tells the story of events unfolding in a bizarre space beneath yellow walls and endless fluorescent lights.
