Democratic Party lawmakers Song Younggil and Koh Minjung announced their bids for party leader on the 8th, emphasizing a shift toward a youthcentered party.
Lawmaker Song made his candidacy announcement together with young party members, presenting the support of the 2030 generation as the party’s future competitiveness. He proposed expanding appointed supreme council members and establishing a special youth body so that young people can participate in key decisionmaking.
