Hainan's Commercial Space Quality System Construction Is Accelerating
Hainan's commercial space industry is accelerating efforts to strengthen the quality chain, improving the ecology of the rocket chain, satellite chain, and data chain Standards, testing, and technological innovation are being advanced simultaneously to seize new opportunities for Hainan's aerospace industry
Hainan Province recently reported that, as multiple launch missions have been successfully completed, Hainan's commercial aerospace industry is accelerating the development of "quality strengthening the industrial chain," further improving the industrial ecosystem of the rocket chain, satellite chain, and data chain.
On September 24, the Hainan Provincial Information Office held a themed press conference on the topic. The Wenchang International Aerospace City Administration said that, in line with the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the development of the commercial aerospace quality system is being advanced simultaneously in multiple areas, including standards, infrastructure, technological innovation, and industrial services.
In terms of standards development, Hainan has established a civilmilitary aerospace standardization committee and is working to fill gaps in standards for areas such as rocket components, individual satellite units, spacebased tracking and control, and coordinated operations between satellites and launch sites. In terms of industrial services, infrastructure such as the aerospace satellite super factory and launch support testing capabilities continues to improve, and relevant parties are also promoting the implementation of a higherlevel metrology and testing platform. At the same time, Hainan has also relied on multiple entities to establish a commercial aerospace quality technology innovation consortium, carrying out joint research on topics such as recovery and reuse testing, lowlatitude launch metrology, and satellite data quality assessment.
