Two Optical Satellites from Meishan, Sichuan, Quickly Transmit Images After Entering Orbit
The Meishan HuanTian Constellation has completed network formation, and the first batch of high-definition remote sensing images from Dongpo Satellite have been rapidly transmitted back The two optical satellites are in stable condition, setting a new pace for aerospace applications in Sichuan Tianfu New Area
The Meishan Administrative Committee of Sichuan Tianfu New Area said that among the six “Dongpo” series satellites launched into orbit on July 22, the two optical satellites sent back their first batch of highdefinition remote sensing images about 1.5 hours after the rocket and satellites separated, with the entire process from launch to data transmission back taking less than 2 hours.
After this launch, the Meishan Huantian constellation completed network formation with the 14 satellites already in orbit, bringing the number of satellites in orbit to 20, marking the completion of the first phase, second stage networking task of the Huantian constellation.
According to the introduction, the two optical satellites are currently operating normally, with stable telemetry parameters. Among them, Chuanziyihao (DP13) transmitted a remote sensing image of the Meishan Sports Center in Leshan, Sichuan, while the Southwest University of Finance and Economics Satellite (DP14) transmitted a remote sensing image of Guanghe County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. The relevant satellites are equipped with capabilities such as agile maneuvering, highresolution observation, multistrip stitching, and onboard intelligent processing.
