3 people in the emergency management system of Qinyuan County, Shanxi, are under investigation

On June 7, the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Commission of Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, reported that three heads of Qinyuan County's emergency management system are under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation on suspicion of serious violations of discipline and law. Those under investigation include Sun Xiaoye, Party Secretary and Director of the Qinyuan County Emergency Management Bureau and head of the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team for Emergency Management; Yue Xiaodong, a member of the bureau's Party committee and deputy head of the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team for Emergency Management; and Zhang Qian, head of Law Enforcement Team No. 1. The relevant investigations are being handled respectively by the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Commission of Shangdang District, Changzhi City; the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Commission of Qin County; and the Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Commission of Huguan County. Before the announcement was issued, a gas explosion occurred on May 22 at the Liushenyu Coal Mine of Tongzhou Group in Qinyuan County, causing major casualties. After the accident, the State Council established an accident investigation team, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate also placed the case under special supervision, requiring that the main responsible persons be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
