The 4th China Story International Communication Forum Held in Urumqi

The 4th China Story International Communication Forum opened on July 11 in Urumqi. The forum was hosted by the School of Journalism and Communication of Xinjiang University, the Xinjiang Image Communication Research Center of Xinjiang University, and the China Story Creative Communication Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Its theme was “Communication · Culture · Identity: Enhancing the Reach and Influence of Chinese Civilization.” The twoday forum featured multiple sessions, including a main forum, subforums, and roundtable forums, with discussions centered on topics such as international communication, mutual learning among civilizations, and communication innovation in the era of digital intelligence. More than 100 experts, scholars, young researchers, and practitioners from universities, research institutes, media organizations, and industry institutions across the country attended the event. Participating scholars shared their views on topics such as clustered communication actors, intelligent international communication mechanisms, and the impact of cultural distance on international communication. The organizers said that holding the forum in Urumqi was intended to leverage Xinjiang's geographic advantages and communication strengths to build a platform for exchange and cooperation aimed at enhancing Chinese civilization's ability to narrate itself to the world and improving the effectiveness of regional international communication.
