Level IV geological disaster prevention response: Heavy rain risk is increasing in many areas of Jiangxi, Hunan, and Guizhou Pay attention to the Ministry of Natural Resources warning, check the latest disaster prevention information in time, and make preparations to avoid danger
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, due to heavy rainfall, parts of Jiangxi, Hunan, and Guizhou face a higher risk of geological disasters. In accordance with the relevant defense work plan, the Ministry of Natural Resources activated a Level IV geological disaster prevention response for the three provinces at 10:00 on June 3.
The weather forecast shows that parts of Jiangxi, Hunan, and Guizhou will experience moderate to heavy rain, with localized areas possibly seeing torrential rain. The Geological Disaster Technical Guidance Center assessed that the risk is relatively pronounced in localized areas of northeastern Jiangxi, central Hunan, and western Guizhou.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has required the natural resources departments of the three provinces to strengthen inspections and investigations, monitoring and early warning, consultation and assessment, and emergency duty shifts, and to promptly handle any dangerous situations and disaster incidents; at the same time, it has required the China Geological Survey and the Geological Disaster Technical Guidance Center to strengthen assessment and expert dispatch, and assist local authorities in carrying out prevention work.
