Anhui’s “technology matchmakers” promote the connection and application of laboratory achievements in real-world settings

Anhui’s transformation of scientific and technological achievements is accelerating: technology managers bridge research and enterprises, promoting implementation and application See how the Anhui Innovation Museum trains “technology matchmakers” to improve the efficiency of achievement transformation and industrial matching

Hefei, Anhui, August 3 The Anhui Innovation Hall recently showcased more than 2,000 highlevel scientific and technological achievements, many of which have already moved from the laboratory to practical application. Local people call the technology managers who promote the transformation of achievements “science matchmakers”; they are responsible for bringing together research teams, enterprises, and market demand, and promoting the implementation of technologies. The report noted that technology managers provide support in areas such as achievement discovery, evaluation, promotion, and transactions, and can also coordinate supporting services such as finance, legal affairs, and intellectual property. Li Wenxin, deputy director of the Anhui Innovation Hall, said that as the problem of “not knowing how to transform” is gradually being solved, the role of technology managers is increasingly focused on connecting laboratories with industrial demand. In recent years, Anhui has improved the development of its technology manager team through measures such as a points system, local legislation, and talent training. Since the hall was established, the Anhui Innovation Hall has trained more than 5,100 technology managers; nationwide, the number of people who have received related training has exceeded 110,000. The local area also said it will continue to explore paths such as international certification and academic education to improve the efficiency of scientific and technological achievement transformation.
