North Korea 공개 mid-range strategic missile training, claims failure to track trajectory over the East Sea Claims Kim Jong Un observed and AI was applied, check breaking news amid escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula
North Korea publicly announced on the 3rd that it had conducted a drill to launch an intermediaterange strategic missile over the East Sea, and claimed that South Korea and Japan failed to track the missile's trajectory.
Kim Yojong, Director of the General Affairs Department of the Workers' Party, said through the Korean Central News Agency that an intermediaterange strategic missile was used in the drill and that State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong Un personally observed it. She cited the flight distance figures analyzed by South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff and Japan's Ministry of Defense, and said that the North Korean missile's distinctive flight pattern had been proven.
Kim also claimed that North Korean missiles can change their trajectory at low altitude and that artificial intelligence has been applied. This announcement came three days after the South Korean government demanded an apology and action from North Korea over an incident in which a South Korean soldier was injured by a landmine explosion near the DMZ on the western front.
