The Cyberspace Administration of China will hold a series of events in Chengdu, Sichuan, during APEC Digital Week 2026. The events will take place from July 23 to 29, and participants will include government officials from APEC member economies, representatives of international organizations, experts and scholars, as well as representatives from businesses and think tanks.
According to the introduction, the events will feature exchanges on topics such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence, along with multiple themed forums and seminars. Among them, the APEC HighLevel Forum on Artificial Intelligence will take “Promoting Inclusive Development of AI for All” as its theme, advancing indepth discussions among all parties on AI governance and cooperation.
In addition, related supporting activities will also include working group meetings such as the APEC Workshop on Promoting AI Literacy for Citizens, as well as themed exhibition zones and field visits centered on artificial intelligence, digital rural development, new ecommerce, and the digitalization of Sichuan culture, showcasing China’s achievements in digital development.
