Spotify surpassed 300 million paid subscribers in the second quarter of this year. Although it raised subscription prices in some regions, paid signups increased 9% from the same period last year. Spotify's monthly active users (MAU) in the second quarter rose 12% from a year earlier to 777 million. Revenue came to 4.8 billion euros, and operating profit to 655 million euros, up 14% and 61%, respectively, improving profitability as well. The company is expanding its business beyond music streaming into a comprehensive audio platform through tiered subscription plans, personalized services, and expanded fitness, live performance, audiobook, and AI features.
