President Lee Jaemyung said on the 21st that real estate windfall profits are a major cause of undermining fairness and common sense and hindering national unity, and stated that he would prepare measures suited to reality.
At a Cabinet meeting held at the Blue House, President Lee said that real estate stability is a key condition for easing polarization, and that he would prepare both speedy supply measures and support measures for end users. He also stated his position that the tax system would be revised fairly and reasonably to meet the public's expectations.
He also pointed out that additional measures are needed regarding the recently controversial supplementary measures for singlestock leveraged ETFs, and urged the financial authorities to swiftly come up with such measures. In addition, he said it is necessary to clarify the standards for applying thirdparty bribery charges in relation to corporate social contribution.
