The Incheon Namdong Police Station announced on the 3rd that it had arrested a man in his 30s, identified as A, on charges of attempted murder and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act after he stalked his exgirlfriend and her family and was ordered to stay away.
A is accused of visiting the home of his exgirlfriend B's family on the morning of the 31st of last month while carrying a weapon. He was investigated and found to have knocked on the front door, then left the weapon in front of the house before leaving.
A is also said to have sent threatening text messages to the victim's family. The police received a stalking report the day before the crime and issued Emergency Measures Nos. 1 and 2, but it was confirmed that A visited around the victim again the following day.
