Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Says the Concept of AI for Good Is Very Important
Artificial intelligence governance: people-centered, striving upward and for good, promoting technology to serve humanity and society Herzog praised China's AI and robotics development, unlocking new possibilities for future smart cities
Otto Heinrich Herzog, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and an academician of the German Academy of Science and Engineering, recently told CCTV News in an interview in Shanghai that artificial intelligence should serve humanity and benefit society, and that “being good” is a very good concept.
During the interview, Herzog experienced a Chinamade texttovideo tool and expressed approval of how the generated content portrayed future smart cities. He said that elements in the video such as green spaces, public facilities, and robot applications reflected some of his ideas about future cities.
Herzog also mentioned that robot technology has developed rapidly in recent years, especially in China, where related industries are playing an important role. He said that he has long been committed to developing artificial intelligence systems that “benefit humanity,” and therefore supports the peoplecentered, upward and benevolent concept of AI governance.
