According to information from COMAC, as of April 30, the safe operating time of the domestically produced C909 aircraft has exceeded 1 million hours. This model is a short to mediumhaul regional passenger aircraft independently developed by China in accordance with internationally accepted airworthiness standards. It has independent intellectual property rights and is mainly used for regional route transportation with 78 to 97 seats. The article introduces that since its maiden flight in 2016, the C909 has been put into operation on more than 700 routes, serving a large number of passengers every day and connecting more than 100 cities. Its takeoff and landing performance on complex airports such as short and narrow runways, high temperatures, and plateaus, as well as its crosswind resistance, have become important features of this model. The report also mentioned that the C909 is accelerating its expansion into overseas markets. At present, three airlines from Indonesia, Laos, and Vietnam are operating this model in Southeast Asia, having opened nearly 20 routes in total and connected more than 20 cities. As commercial operations continue to advance, the C909 is also regarded as an achievement of China's fullprocess capabilities in the research and development, manufacturing, testing, delivery, and operation of jet regional passenger aircraft.
