Survey Shows That Public Awareness of the "National Cultural Park" Is Relatively High

Beijing, June 15 — The Chinese Academy of Arts recently held a seminar on the construction and protection of National Cultural Parks during the “15th FiveYear Plan” period, and released the “Report on Public Awareness and Systematic Protection of National Cultural Parks.” The report shows that National Cultural Parks have already formed a relatively broad public awareness foundation, and the systematic protection of cultural heritage has also received high recognition. This survey covered 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country involved in the construction and protection of National Cultural Parks. Through local practice reviews, expert consultations, field research, and public questionnaires, it sought to understand the progress, experience, and practical issues in different regions during the “14th FiveYear Plan” period, and to provide a reference for planning during the “15th FiveYear Plan” period. Participants discussed topics including the optimization of institutional mechanisms, systematic heritage protection, the integration of culture and tourism, improved public services, technology empowerment, and communication and exchange. The report also points out that the public has strong expectations for areas such as the integration of culture and tourism, technological innovation, expert participation, and communication and outreach.
