The Central Work Safety Assessment and Inspection Team Focuses on Fire Safety and Hazardous Chemicals for On-site and Unannounced Checks

Recently, the Central Work Safety Assessment and Inspection Team carried out unannounced inspections and spot checks in multiple provinces for the second and third quarters, focusing on work safety in areas such as fire protection and hazardous chemicals. The inspections found that some sites and enterprises still had many safety hazards, involving warehouse management, firefighting facilities, evacuation conditions, and supervision of transport vehicles. At a logistics park in Haikou, Hainan, the inspection team found that a warehouse for auto parts was illegally storing nearly one ton of flammable materials mixed together, and the warehouse lacked the necessary escape facilities, fire passages, and fire separations; ventilation conditions also failed to meet standards. Experts pointed out that once such storage methods encounter high temperatures, static electricity, or impact, they may trigger a fire or even an explosion. In Danzhou, Hainan, one hotel had problems such as insufficient safety exits, unlicensed staff on duty in the fire control room, damaged fire doors, and blocked evacuation signs; another foot bath shop illegally set up employee dormitories on the top floor, with major hazards including randomly connected electrical wires and only one evacuation staircase. During road transport inspections, a hazardous chemical transport company in Haikou was found to have repair records inconsistent with the records in the vehicle联网 system, and some maintenance records were filled out carelessly, exposing problems of irregular vehicle safety management and data supervision. The issues identified have been handed over to Hainan for verification, rectification, and accountability.
