The Shanxi Provincial CPPCC Holds a Special Consultative Meeting to Promote the Transformation of a Resource-based Economy

On June 10, the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held a special consultative meeting to discuss and deliberate on implementing the “Four Stabilities” requirements, promoting steady and positive economic performance, and advancing the transformation of resourcebased industries. Shanxi Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Governor Lu Dongliang attended and delivered a speech, and Provincial CPPCC Chairman Zhang Chunlin presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, seven CPPCC members put forward suggestions from the perspectives of financial security, advanced materials, energy storage, newtype power systems, green and lowcarbon development of the aluminum industry, and the integration of agriculture, culture, tourism, and wellness. Their proposals focused on industrial upgrading and transformationdriven development.
Lu Dongliang said that the relevant departments should carefully study and incorporate the members’ opinions and turn them into concrete measures to promote reform and solve problems. He stressed the need to coordinate efforts in stabilizing growth, promoting reform, improving livelihoods, preventing risks, and maintaining stability, and to continue making strong efforts in key areas such as energy transition, industrial upgrading, and project investment. Zhang Chunlin said that such consultative activities help build consensus and pool strength, providing support for Shanxi’s highquality development and comprehensive transformation.
