On July 11, the 2026 Dialogue on Humanistic Development for Aging was held in Beijing, focusing on public welfare support for seniors, healthy aging, and a positive view of aging. Experts attending the event discussed topics such as the development of agingrelated work, collaborative social governance, and health services for older adults. Gao Chengyun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the China Research Center on Aging, said that a positive view of aging is an important foundation for building an agingoriented humanistic society, while healthy aging is an important goal for improving the quality of life of older adults. He pointed out that the role of public welfare organizations and social forces should be further brought into play to promote collaborative participation by the government, the market, and society. Experts also noted that in the face of population aging, aging services need to shift from a singleprovider model to diversified joint development, promoting integrated development of medical care, rehabilitation, psychological support, and elder care services, while extending health services through communities and families to help older adults maintain independent living abilities and social participation.
