Large fire at Goryeong LED factory brought under control in 2 hours and 30 minutes

A fire broke out at an LED manufacturing factory in Gaejinmyeon, Goryeonggun, Gyeongbuk, on the afternoon of the 4th, and the fire authorities carried out firefighting operations. About 2 hours and 30 minutes after the fire started, at around 9:16 p.m., the major flames were brought under control, and cleanup of the remaining embers is currently underway. Since the steel frame structure must be dismantled and the interior materials removed, it is expected to take more time until the fire is completely extinguished. In this fire, one factory building and about 2 tons of LED materials inside were destroyed, but there were no casualties because all workers had already left work at the time. Goryeonggun sent an advisory text message to nearby residents, asking them to close their windows and be cautious for safety.
