Interviewees believe that the speech not only emphasized advancing highlevel selfreliance and selfstrengthening in science and technology, but also proposed deep participation in global science and technology governance, pointing the way for China’s science and technology development and international cooperation. The report noted that several overseas figures mentioned that China has continued to advance in recent years in areas such as research investment, major scientific and technological breakthroughs, the transformation of achievements, and the cultivation of young talent, with the research ecosystem continuously improving. Some interviewees also gave examples, saying that China has made progress in areas such as independent crop breeding and space exploration, reflecting the integration of technological innovation with the needs of national development.
