Former Party Secretary of Wanbei Coal Electricity Group Gong Naiqin Expelled from the Party

According to the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Gong Naiqin, former Party secretary and chairman of Wanbei Coal and Electricity Group Co., Ltd., has been placed under review and investigation for serious violations of discipline and law.
The notice said that Gong Naiqin had engaged in conduct such as resisting organizational review, participating in superstitious activities, improperly accepting travel arrangements, improperly seeking personnel benefits for others, receiving gifts and money, illegally holding shares in a nonlisted company, and borrowing housing from management and service recipients without compensation.
In addition, he is also alleged to have taken advantage of his position to seek profits for others in areas such as coal trade and company operations, and to have illegally accepted huge amounts of money and property. After consideration by the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision and approval by the Provincial Party Committee, it was decided to expel him from the Party, cancel related benefits in accordance with regulations, confiscate his illegal gains, and transfer the suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organ for review and prosecution in accordance with the law.
