Ding Xuexiang Meets with Delegation of Hong Kong and Macao Youth Flag-Raising Team Representatives Visiting Beijing

On the morning of September 21, Ding Xuexiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, met in the Great Hall of the People with the delegation of Hong Kong and Macao youth flagraising teams visiting Beijing for the “Salute to the National Flag” event, and took a group photo with the guests. Ding Xuexiang conveyed President Xi Jinping’s greetings to the members of the visiting delegation and, on behalf of the central government, expressed welcome. He pointed out that the Central Government has always cared about the growth of young people in Hong Kong and Macao, and when young people in Hong Kong and Macao develop well, the development of Hong Kong, Macao, and the country will be better as well. Ding Xuexiang hoped that young people in Hong Kong and Macao would understand the national flag, safeguard the national flag, and put their patriotic feelings into concrete actions, striving to serve as models of loving the country, Hong Kong, and Macao in the new era, and contributing their strength to the development of the cause of “one country, two systems.” Nearly 1,200 people, including representatives of flagraising teams from universities, secondary schools, primary schools, and kindergartens in Hong Kong and Macao, participated in this visit to Beijing.
