The 32nd Beijing International Book Fair was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing from June 17 to 21. The United Arab Emirates participated as the Guest of Honor again after an 11year absence, with a focus on showcasing the progress of cooperation between the UAE and China in cultural and knowledge exchange.
The UAE delegation consisted of the Ministry of Culture, the embassy in China, and several cultural and academic institutions. On site, it set up an "UAE House" cultural exhibition and copyright trading booth, and launched more than 20 related events covering literature, translation, intellectual property, economic and trade cooperation, artistic performances, and public experience programs.
The report pointed out that UAE officials believe that in recent years, the UAE and China have continued to carry out cultural activities and dialogue initiatives, promoting cooperation between institutions in the two countries, which also reflects the trend of the continuous deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and China.
