The listing celebration event was attended by SK Group Chairman Chey Taewon, Senior Vice Chairman Chey Jaewon, and SK Hynix CEO Kwak Nohjung, among others. CEO Kwak explained that the company has overcome the downturn and crisis in DRAM and grown by developing HBM, and stated its intention to become a key partner in the AI era based on technological innovation and customer trust.
With this listing as a stepping stone, SK Hynix plans to expand its global investor base in the U.S. capital market and strengthen its position in AIrelated businesses. The funds raised through the ADR offering will be used for the creation of the semiconductor cluster in Yongin, South Korea, and for purchasing advanced equipment.
