The damages suffered by sports organizations housed there due to the blockade protests that continued at Seoul’s Jamsil Olympic Park have been tallied at over 4.1 billion won. According to materials received by Rep. Lee Haesik’s office of the Democratic Party from nine sports associations based in the Handball Stadium, including the Korea Fencing Association, the amount of damage confirmed through the 15th was about 4.141 billion won. By organization, the Korea Fencing Association suffered the greatest damage, and the Billiards Federation, Dance Sports Federation, and Waterskiing and Wakeboarding Association were also found to have faced disruptions in tournament preparation, stipend payments, and administrative work. Some organizations said normal operations were difficult because preparations for international competitions, uniform distribution, meetings, and certificate issuance had all come to a halt.
