Jang Hang-jun turned down 'The Man Who Lives with the King' but decided to direct it after Kim Eun-hee's advice

Director Jang Hangjun revealed the reason why he initially said he would not take on the film 'The Man Who Lives with the King.' On the KBS2 program 'Problem Child in House' aired on the 3rd, Jang Hangjun opened up about why he had tried to turn down the project and how his mind changed. He explained that he felt there was a heavy burden of boxoffice success for a historical drama at the time, and judged that it would not be easy to secure investment given the story structure. However, after suggesting revisions to the production team, his ideas were instead received positively, and he later said that after discussing it with his wife, writer Kim Eunhee, he agreed to direct the film. Jang Hangjun said that a single remark from Kim Eunhee had a major impact on his final decision.
