According to Xinhua News Agency in Nanchang on June 1, Comrade Wan Xuewen, a close friend of the Communist Party of China, member of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, and former chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, passed away in Nanchang on May 25, 2026, at the age of 85.
The report says that Wan Xuewen was born in September 1941 in Nanchang, Jiangxi. From 1958 to 1967, he studied at Tsinghua University, and later worked for a long time in units related to urban planning and construction in Nanchang. He once held positions at the Nanchang Urban Planning and Design Institute, the Nanchang Urban and Rural Construction Bureau, the Nanchang Construction Commission, and the Nanchang Urban Planning Bureau.
After 2002, Wan Xuewen served as chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, and in other roles. He joined the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party in January 1981 and made positive contributions to upholding and improving the system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
