China-Russia Youth Exchange and Education Forum Held in Harbin

The China-Russia education exchange forum was held in Harbin, promoting youth dialogue and the implementation of inter-school cooperation agreements New mechanisms were launched and joint institutions were unveiled, helping deepen cultural cooperation and educational collaboration

On July 22, one of the series of events for the ChinaRussia Education Year, “Continuing the Treaty Spirit · Conurturing New Generation Talent” — the ChinaRussia Youth Exchange Meeting and the Education Exchange Meeting marking the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on GoodNeighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between China and Russia — was held at Heilongjiang University in Harbin. The event attracted more than 150 participants, including university presidents, think tank experts, young scholars, and student representatives from both China and Russia. Zhang Qixiang, Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province, Kostyuk, Governor of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast of Russia, and others attended and delivered remarks, while relevant officials from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation gave speeches via video. At the meeting, both sides launched the “Heilongjiang—Jewish Autonomous Oblast ChinaRussia Youth Dialogue” mechanism and held multiple signings of interuniversity cooperation agreements and unveiling ceremonies. In addition, Heilongjiang University, Jiamusi University, Harbin Conservatory of Music, and Harbin No. 6 Middle School, among others, signed cooperation agreements with institutions such as the Russian State University for the Humanities. The ChinaRussia Joint Faculty of Law and the ChinaRussia Joint Research Institute on AntiCorruption, jointly established by Heilongjiang University and Moscow State University of Law, were also officially unveiled. The event also featured think tank dialogues and youth exchanges on topics such as peopletopeople exchange, regional cooperation, and educational collaboration, and showcased works from the ChinaRussia Youth Photography Competition.
