China's first deepwater oilfield secondary development project, the Liuhua Oilfield, has made new progress during the National Day holiday. Its cumulative crude oil production has surpassed 2 million tonnes, and the oilfield's cumulative output since it went into production 22 years ago has exceeded 40 million tonnes. Daily production has also reached a new high. The project is located in the waters of the Pearl River Mouth Basin, with an average water depth of about 305 meters. It relies on the coordinated operations of the "Haiji No. 2", "Hai Kui No. 1", and an underwater production system, and achieves remote unified monitoring through a landsea integrated intelligent central control system, improving the safety and production efficiency of the deepwater oilfield. The report also mentioned that CNOOC is accelerating the construction of a deep and farsea energy transportation system. The modified "Beihai Kaituo" vessel is participating in crude oil outbound transportation, working in coordination with an intelligent operation platform for dispatching and weather and seastate assessment, providing support for the efficient outbound transport of deepwater crude oil.
