An orange alert for meteorological risk of geological disasters has been issued. The risk is relatively high in northern Sichuan and other areas. Please avoid risk areas and evacuate according to the contingency plan, and stay updated on changes in the alert in a timely manner.
At 18:00 on July 31, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued an orange meteorological warning for geological disaster risk, with the warning period from 20:00 on July 31 to 20:00 on August 1.
According to the warning information, parts of central and western Shanxi, parts of southern and central Heilongjiang, parts of southern Guangdong, parts of southern Guangxi, northern and centralsouthern Sichuan, southwestern Shaanxi, southeastern Gansu, and other areas face a relatively high risk of geological disasters; among them, parts of northern Sichuan, southwestern Shaanxi, and southeastern Gansu face a higher risk, reaching the orange warning level.
Relevant departments remind that governments at all levels and relevant units should carry out preventive work in accordance with emergency plans. The public should promptly pay attention to changes in the warning and avoid going to risk areas; people threatened within orangewarning areas should evacuate immediately according to the arrangements of local disaster prevention departments, and people in yellowwarning areas should also stay away from highrisk areas such as ravines, slopes, and steep cliffs.
