The remains of Jingdezhen's handcraft porcelain industry have been inscribed on the World Heritage List

On July 25, the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee was held in Busan, South Korea, where the "Jingdezhen Handmade Porcelain Industry Heritage" was successfully inscribed on the World Heritage List, becoming China's 61st World Heritage site and the first World Heritage site in the List with "porcelain" as its theme. The report said that, relying on complete surviving remains such as raw material sources, fuel sources, production centers, and transportation systems, Jingdezhen presents the entire industrial chain of handmade porcelain production that has continued for a thousand years. This system bears witness to how Jingdezhen developed from a local kiln site into a global porcelainmaking center, and also reflects the maturity of China's traditional ceramic craftsmanship and industrial division of labor.
